The American Red Cross, in conjunction with the Tournament of Roses and under the supervision of the Pasadena Fire Department, is the exclusive provider of first aid services to the Tournament of Roses Parade.  Each year, we deploy more than 150 first aid volunteers at the parade and associated events, including Emergency Responders, EMT's, Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors. Staffing 13 first aid stations along the parade route, these volunteers provide response, triage, stabilization and treatment of injured and ill spectators and parade participants.  Patients needing more advanced care are referred to Pasadena Fire Department paramedics for treatment and transport to area hospitals.  More than 25 volunteer coordinators, supervisors and support staff work for many months preparing and overseeing the first aid operation at the Rose Parade group of events.  First aid at the Rose Parade is provide completely by volunteers and without charge, and is open to all qualified applicants.

PLEASE NOTE: The 2012 Rose Parade is held on Monday, January 2 this year.
